At Time to Thrive we feel passionately about building resilience and promoting cognitive and emotional wellbeing. We feel this is something that needs to be nurtured in us in every aspect of our lives, and across all our years. We also believe strongly that by understanding how our brains work in perceiving, understanding, and responding to the world around us, and by learning strategies and techniques to help us get the most from this amazing, yet quirky, organ, we can learn to thrive and not just survive in the modern world.
Many services are focused purely on providing reactive strategies, i.e. support when things have already become difficult. We also offer this service focus. In addition, however, we provide services with a more preventative focus with the aim of strengthening psychological knowledge and skills, avoiding future distress and knowing how to access help if needed.
Across all our services we use evidence-based psychological approaches and are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are also affiliated with various professional bodies.
We have a range of training packages designed to develop psychological knowledge and skills in your team. We also offer a bespoke training service, where we can work with you to develop training about a specific issue or for a particular context.
We work with adults and with children/ families who are experiencing difficulties. Issues that we commonly work with include anxiety and fears, low mood and depression, trauma, sleep difficulties, confidence, and coping with physical heath conditions.
We are trained to use a range of psychological therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Systemic Therapy. Therapy choice is made in collaboration with you, and depends on your needs and wishes, and the evidence for particular approaches.
We offer individual and group supervision for those working in psychosocial professions.
We offer reflective practice to professional teams to help process and manage the psychological impact of their work.
In addition to our training packages, we offer consultation to individuals, teams and organisations to help promote psychological wellbeing in the workplace.
Psychological approaches can offer much in the coaching domain. We apply evidence-based models to help you to identify future directions, overcome potential barriers and optimise progression.
