Dr Jo Beckett

Dr Jo Beckett is a Chartered Principal Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years in the NHS. She has worked with people across the lifespan suffering with emotional distress, mental illness, cognitive impairment and physical ill health in both community and acute medical settings. She has also provided staff support via reflective practice groups and psychological skills training. Jo has postgraduate training in a variety of theory driven and empirically supported therapeutic approaches (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Motivational Interviewing). She has extensive knowledge, skills and experience in neuropsychology and psychometric assessment, and also training in leadership approaches, supervision, mentoring, coaching and service improvement. Jo is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has worked as a University Lecturer teaching psychology students on both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, and also medical students. She currently works as a Research Tutor and Lecturer on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate Programme at The University of Hull. Together, with Dr Jess Brown, Jo set up Time to Thrive Ltd to offer private therapy, mental wellbeing awareness, resilience training and consultation to schools and private businesses. Jo is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in the British Psychological Society, and is registered with the HCPC and EMDR Association UK.
Dr Jess Brown

Dr Jess Brown is a Chartered Principal Clinical Psychologist who has worked in mental health and emotional wellbeing services for over 20 years. She has experience in both private organisations and the NHS across various community and hospital settings, working to understand and alleviate psychological distress and to offer specialist support and training to staff teams. Jess has extensive experience in children’s mental health, child development and paediatric services, and holds a postgraduate diploma in paediatric neuropsychology. Jess currently works therapeutically with both adults and children in an NHS hospital setting, and has specialist training in a range of psychological models such as CBT, systemic therapy, CFT and ACT. Alongside her clinical work Jess is passionate about making psychological models accessible to multi-disciplinary colleagues. She has extensive experience of writing and delivering training, and has been a conference keynote speaker. She offers reflective practice, psychological skills training, consultation and supervision and is currently involved in the development of initiatives to support staff teams in the NHS. Through Time to Thrive Ltd, Jess and Dr Jo Beckett extend the reach of this work, offering specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as working alongside businesses and schools to understand their specific challenges and develop practical psychological initiatives to build resilience and promote emotional wellbeing. Jess is registered with the HCPC.
